Albums

The discography of American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed, members of the band did sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. Toto was formed in the year 1976 as a result of the collaboration.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to not having hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned, and the band held auditions to choose a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the 1986 album Fahrenheit.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by going through several old tapes and demos to release a special edition called Toto XX. The album was well-received by fans, and Toto began the tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
